REGIONAL TRAFFIC COUNTS

As part of our Technical Assistance to our Member Agencies, CAAG has teamed up with Works Consulting to compile Regional Traffic Counts since Spring 2000.

Traffic count histories assist municipalities, county government and transportation professionals who prioritize and plan new construction projects including widening, resurfacing, traffic signals, etc.  The data can also assist private residents and business owners/consultants who plan for new or expanded business operations.

Traffic counts are focused in each of our two counties every other year (e. g. Gila County in even years, Pinal County in odd years – although high growth areas in Pinal County are counted each year). This schedule provides planners with the up-to-date information no greater than 2 years old.  The Traffic Count data is compiled and presented using GIS technology.  Most counts include results detailed in 15-minute increments.  Tabular reports are also available for download.
