REGIONAL PLANNER

Salary Range: $44,648-$64,315
Budgeted Salary: $50,000
Closing Date: June 9, 2008

CAAG’s Planning Department provides a unique and exciting opportunity for an ambitious planning professional. The CAAG Region covers Pinal and Gila counties, and has 18 member agencies in different stages of development. The Planning Department was formed in 2005 to prepare and update a variety of land, socioeconomic, and transportation databases, including socioeconomic projections. The Department also provides analytic and policy recommendations on regional planning topics, and interfaces with member local governments, State agencies, other Councils of Governments, regional economic organizations, and the private sector. As it was formed only in 2005, the Planning Department is still evolving, and there are many opportunities for a qualified and ambitious planning professional. The Department is seeking qualified candidates for an intermediate planning position. Minimum requirements are Bachelor’s Degree, at least two years’ relevant planning experience, and experience in using GIS (ArcView) as a tool for both building and analyzing databases.
