POPULATION TECHNICAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE (POPTAC)

Mission

The CAAG Population Technical Advisory Committee’s mission is to participate in and provide local input for CAAG population-related activities including the preparation of estimates, projections, and the census.  The mission is accomplished by:

  1. Providing and/or verifying data used to prepare estimates and projections.
  2. Reviewing and providing input on the methods used to prepare estimates and projections.
  3. Reviewing  and providing input on draft estimates and projections.
  4. Recommending approval of estimates and projections to be forwarded to DES POPTAC.
  5. Assisting, to the extent possible, the coordination of programs in preparation for a decennial or special census or a Census survey.
